A simplified look at the complex process of meiosis – perfect for your middle school science classroom! This lesson is designed to give middle school students their first look at meiosis, with simple steps and lots of digital practice! The lesson’s objectives are that students will be able to describe in basic terms what happens during the process of meiosis, they will be able to explain the purpose of meiosis, and they will be able to predict the outcome of meiosis for any given cell. The focus of the lesson is on being able to identify the end result of meiosis.
